Cyclotrimethylol propane methylal is a class of mono-functional alcohols (methylal is also known as formaldehyde dimethyl alcohol, dimethoxyl methane, abbreviated MCF or CTF), which is colorless and low-odor liquid. It is mainly synthesized by the transformation of linear dishrinkage in the recombination of trimethylol propane plant through catalyst, and has excellent performance. By esterifying MCF and Acrylic Acid, cyclotrimethylate propane methylal Acrylate (CTFA) is obtained, which combines the characteristics of parent MCK and esterification, and can be used in UV system to obtain very good results.
The 1, 3-dioxy cyclohexane contained in this product is the source of the different properties. Because OF THE special structure of this product, so that the UV product involved in this product has strong flexibility and hardness, odor is quite small and yellowing resistance. The characteristics of the cyclic ether make this product reactivity comparable, much greater than the general monomer, specific circumstances and even the reaction speed of HDDA similar. Another property of this product is adhesion, especially to metal, some plastics, glass and ceramics and other hard substrates. The chemical resistance of this product is also very good, the recommended dosage is 4-8%.
